I’m going to be so busy tomorrow! Chris, MJ, My Mom, Dad, Ryan, Sarah and I are all going to this Christmas Railroad thing. Ryan loves it. I’ve honestly never been. I also still have to wrap all the presents I’ve bought people! The only one I ended up wrapping was Ryan’s so he couldn’t peak at it. It shouldn’t take me too long. I didn’t have that many people to buy for. Plus I ended up getting Ryan two expensive gifts he’ll love instead of a bunch of toys to throw around.
I went to the mall with my Mom tonight. We had to get Chris a present cause today was his birthday. I totally forgot. My Mom also had to do some last minute shopping. She wanted me to pick out presents as well. I got a new digital camera! I really wanted it in pink or blue but red was the only color left. That’s okay. Its still a nice camera. I really hope it has a lot more battery life then my 5+ year old digi cam. That thing died constantly! She also bought me some new clothes. Now that I needed. I bought Chris a Patriots hat. I wonder if he’ll wear it now that he lives in Cali. Oh I also bought myself a Red Sox hat! They were out of pink so i got baby blue.
My boyfriend lives in an other state. This means that to see each other we have to travel a lot. Honestly every time I visit him I try not to bring anything valuable. I’m paranoid of my luggage getting lost! I do bring my laptop though. I’m thinking of getting travel insurance on it. It would save me a lot of worrying knowing it was covered if anything happened to it while traveling.
Have you ever noticed how different people’s skin can actually be? I have super dry and sensitive skin. That makes me extremely careful about what I put on my face. If I use something too harsh my face will look like paling sand paper. My cousin has the opposite problem. Her skin is super oily. When it comes to hair removal I’ve always taken the eay way out and just shaved. Even my eyebrows. I always used an eyebrow shaper. As I get older though I realize more and more that shaving is not at all the best option. It leaves you itchy as can be!and hair grows back so fast. Being native American I’m not a very hairy person at all. But even I have to shave at least every other day. I can’t imagine how often someone who is really hairy would have to shave.

So tonight I spent four hours in the hospital waiting room waiting to see a Doctor. Normally I would have seen my primary care Doctor but it just so happens they moved without notifying me last week. So I finally get in there and tell him I think I have strep throat ( my son has it so i know how i caught it ). I also told him I’ve gotten absolutely no sleep lately due to the fact I’m up all night coughing. Everything hurts at night because of the coughing. It was even making me throw up.
So he listens to my lungs, etc. Takes a strep culture. The nurse comes in with my prescriptions. It’s for an inhaler and antibiotics. I ask her if she could please ask the doctor to prescribe me some cough medicine. I get this lame coughing bronchitis every year. And every year I get codeine cough medicine because it’s the only thing that works. She tells me just to buy over the counter stuff. Like I haven’t been taking Niquil for a week already?
The same thing happens with my back problems. I’m alergic to NSAIDS so I can;t take 800 MG ibuprophen. They’ve tried every other non narcotic pain killer. It doesn’t work. they refuse to prescribe vicodin or percacets because of my age. They assume that because you’re young and you want something that WORKS that you’re a “drug seeker”.
Seriously if I were a junkie I wouldn’t sit in a hospital for 4 hours waiting for codeine cough medicine. I’d borrow 5-10$ from someone and go buy a fucking bag of heroin.
