Obama’s state of the union

I really enjoyed watching Obama’s State Of The Union address last night. It’s so nice to have a President that actually knows how to speak English! I also think he showed us that he is working hard to make this country great once again. His plans make sense. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will our future. it’s going to take time for our economy to recover, It’s going to take time to reform healthcare and bring home all our troops.

He said we won’t have to wait one more year for healthcare reform. That’s good to know. it is a main issue holding back our country. It’s also a reason so many jobs have been shipped over seas. Company’s couldn’t afford paying for Employee healthcare. Reforming our healthcare will not only make us more of a healthy and fair nation but it will also bring back a lot of the jobs that we have lost.

People need to get off Obama’s back. He hasn’t had time to accomplish much of anything yet. That doesn’t mean that he isn’t in the process of doing great things.

Busy

I spent most of today cleaning my room. It still isn’t near done. I’ve got loads of laundry to do. For the past three days I had a migraine headache that just wouldn’t ease up. I ended up sleeping tons. Ryan’s sick too. he has a really bad cough.

My cousin’s coming over tonight to see my uncle. It will be cool to see her. I don’t get to see her much anymore.

I did a lot of cleaning on this blog last night. Cleaned up a bunch of old posts. I’m much more happy with it now. I also cleaned up the layout a little more. Hopefully it’s even easier to read now. :)

Bedknobs And Broomsticks

Bedknobs and Broomsticks was one of my favorite movies when I was a little girl. Tonight I put it on for my son. At first he wanted nothing to do with it. After a few minutes he started to get into it though. Honestly I didn’t realize how old that movie was until I put it on. It’s probably been over 15 years since I had watched it. It’s still amazing. A really unique movie.

I liked a lot of old movies when I was a kid. Even the Sound Of Music. Probably because my grandmother used to bring me to plays all the time. She’s a school teacher so she’d always bring me to her school’s plays. I actually had fun.

I can understand why kids now wouldn’t like an old movie like that. Technology has come so far that they probably look like total crap to them. I just think that if they don’t even try to watch them they’re missing out on some interesting movies.

Speaking of Games

I really need some xbox360 games! All I have so far is halo 3 and Dead or Alive 3 I think. Ryan really likes halo but to be honest I’m not as into it as I thought I’d be. It’s really hard for me to play. My Dad bought me my xbox 360 the Christmas before last and I’ve still barely used it at all. Ryan would probably play it constantly if I bought him some new games.

When my boyfriend was here last him and Ryan played halo for a long time. My boyfriend uses his 360 a lot. He’s always renting games for it. Plus he plays Call Of Duty 4. Though not as much as he used to. I’m not into Army games much. The only shooting game I ever really enjoyed was Counterstrike for the PC. That game was really fun. I also likes Counter Strike Source. I still don’t understand why barely no one plays that! In my opinion it was better than Counter Strike 1.

Blogs

I’ve spent the past two days working a lot on my blogs. I changed the layouts around a little. Hopefully they’re easier to read now! I also added a ton of content to my personal blog. Mostly my writing. I dislike my writing but my friends seem to like it. So why not put it up?

My game blog still needs a lot of work. I haven’t been updating it with near as much as I had hoped. I want to type up a bunch of posts on WOW questing in Northrend as soon as I get the chance.

I like having multiple blogs. it’s much easier to keep things neat and organized. So far I have this.. which I would probably call random/current, My personal journal blog, a Parenting blog, and my Game blog. So far I don’t have the courage to start up an electronics blog blog though. I don’t think I’m quite tech savvy enough!

EXCITING

If you’re a reader of my blog then I’m sure you know how much I am in love with George R.R. martin’s fantasy series, “A Song Of Ice and Fire”. I’ve never enjoyed reading anything near as much as I enjoy these amazing books. Currently I, like all the other fans are awaiting the finish of the fifth book. Which will be titled “A Dance With Dragons”.

Every few months George R.R. Martin changes around the sample he has on his website. The sample is a chapter that will be in A Dance With Dragons. Tonight I looked because I haven’t checked it in a long time and was happy to find a Jon Snow Chapter! It’s more amazing then I expected.

I’m also excited after checking out his Bibliography. The names of the future books are on there!

1. A Game of Thrones, Bantam Books, 1996
2. A Clash of Kings, Bantam Books, 1999
3. A Storm of Swords, Bantam Books, 2000
4. A Feast for Crows, Bantam Books, 2005
5. A Dance with Dragons, forthcoming/Bantam Books
6. The Winds of Winter, forthcoming/Bantam Books
7. A Dream of Spring, forthcoming/Bantam Books

I can’t wait!
