Brrrrr!

It’s been absolutely freezing lately! This weather is seriously making me want to take a vacation somewhere warm to relax. I was thinking about maybe visiting my friend in Florida. She moved there about two years ago now and I don’t think I’ve seen her in over a year. It seems orlando vacations are still reasonably priced even this close to the holidays. Maybe I should bring Ryan and go to Disney World. He’s never been there yet. I went twice when I was younger. Once when I was about four then again with my little cousins when I was fifteen. It was a lot of fun.

update!

By now any of you who regularly read my blog must know that I’m moving. That is.. as soon as the new house is finished being built. It should have been done months ago. Sadly things didn’t go as planned and it’s now been under construction for about five months. Things have picked up a little the past week or so but I still have no clue as to when it will all be done.

I’m pretty sure all the main things are done. The heat is working, the water heater was changed, electrical supplies and plumbing materials ordered. A lot of it is even finished by now. I think mostly what is left to be finished is plastering the walls and such. The floors aren’t down yet either. There’s also a ton of things to be done in the kitchen. They have to rip out and replace part of a wall and the cabinets due to mold. The house had a bad roof when my parents bought it and there was water damage.

Supposedly that won’t take too long though, according to the builders. But then again they said the house would have been done months ago..

Some thoughts

My boyfriend lives pretty far away from me right now. Currently he’s living in Ohio while I’m all the way in Massachusetts. We see each other frequently but it still isn’t enough. He’s saving up to move here. I really hope he can move here soon. I miss him a lot around the Holidays. Christmas is the hardest time to have him so far away. Usually he visits between Thanksgiving and Christmas but this year he couldn’t. cross country moving isn’t the easiest thing to do but hopefully he can move here soon. I’m hoping by this time next year. This year was really hectic for both of us. Maybe this coming year will be easier. This was just one of those years where things went wrong and more wrong one after the other non stop.

You know what I dislike?

I’m kind of upset. I lost one of my websites because I wasn’t sent a reminder to renew the domain gamer-girl . net. I had it for over a year and made a ton of entries. All of a sudden when I went to look at it last week it was just gone without warning. Someone else already had it so there was no way for me to get it back.

It made me realize that I need to keep all or most of my websites registered in one place. I still register most with Bluehost even though I switched my hosting over to Hostgator over a year ago now. They’re simple and pretty cheap. I like Godaddy but they just seem so cluttered to me. Their website in general confuses me sometimes.

I started up a new blog about games to replace my old ones. I wonder if my host and wordpress has the entries backed up. If they do maybe I can just upload them to my new game blog?

Feeling Better

I’m starting to feel a little better. I went to the hospital yesterday. It turns out I did have a kidney infection after all. Hopefully it will go away quickly. They gave me some antibiotics and some meds to stop it from hurting so much. I also got a list of primary care doctors in my area that should accept my insurance. I hope they really have an opening. I’m so sick of not having a doctor. I would have gotten this cleared up months ago and it never would have went to my kidney if I had had a regular doctor to go to.

I’ve been looking at home security systems for the new house. I know they’re expensive but the benefits are worth it.

So

I started packing up a lot of my things for when the house is finished. I figured it’s better to start now then do it all at the last minute. I decided I’m going to have a yard sale and give a lot of my old clothes to good will. There’s just way too much stuff to bring with me. I don’t want my new room to be all cluttered. I have to go through a lot of Ryan’s toys too. It’s been about two years since I have.. He’s going to have a playroom in the basement. We’re putting in carpets so it isn’t like a cold garage floor. Probably an entertainment center down there too.
