Driving!!

After all these years I’m finally trying to get my drivers license. I have a road test on the 7th. For the past three weeks I’ve been practicing driving constantly in my Grandmothers station Wagon. I really hate driving that car. In Massachusetts you have to parallel park to pass the test and it’s really hard to maneuver a Station Wagon. Today I went driving with a driving instructor from the local driving school for an evaluation. It was much easier to parallel park in that car so I’m glad I’ll be using one like it from the school for the driving test. He said I’m doing fine and he thinks I’ll pass. I really hope he’s right.

If I do pass I’m going to have to get a car and insurance so I’ve been looking around at prices from car insurance companies. I’m still not even sure what kind of car I want. I need something easy to drive but also safe for me and my son. I wanted a Volkswagen beetle but they don’t hold up well in side collisions. I guess I’ll just look around on Craigslist and see if I find anything cheap that’s also safe.

True Blood

I can’t wait for True Blood tomorrow. This new season is absolutely amazing! It’s hard to wait a whole week for the new episodes. I love how they made the werewolves look like wolves instead of worg men. It’s realistic fitting in with the shape shifter stuff they already had going in the other seasons.

I’ve never liked Bill but every season I like him less and less. Sookie would be so much better with Eric! Eric is amazingly hot. He’s funny too. Bill has no personality at all and he’s way too controlling.

I wonder what will happen with Bills maker tomorrow?

Smart..

My aunt has a friend who’s really rich. She said for the past year he’s been buying a ton of gold. She couldn’t figure out why since gold was at the highest price it’s ever really been. You’d think it would have nowhere to go but down. It turns out he was a genius because a month ago the price of gold went up more. So all that gold is worth way more than he bought it for. He probably made tens of thousands of dollars on it. I wonder if the same thing could be done buying wholesale diamonds?

People make money in the easiest of ways.

Update

My uncle is here visiting from North Carolina! It’s nice to see him. He only visits about once a year since he moved. My son is really happy because my cousins came too. They’re with their Mom for a few days though. Ryan won’t get to see them until Wednesday.

I’ve been busy as hell since Ryan got out of school. There’s still so much to be done here at the new house. My uncle seems to be drinking more than he’s working lately. I just want him to hurry and finish the pantry so we won’t have food on the counter and table. I can’t stand everything being cluttered.

Argh!!!

I spent way too much money on clothes this week! I recently lost a lot of weight so I can’t fit into my clothes from last summer.. yet I’m still too fat to fit into my old size 11’s. There was no way I was watching kids all summer outside by the pool and in my yard without shorts, tanks and a bathing suit. So I asked my friend if she knew anywhere I could find plus sizes on the smaller end to buy some summer clothes. I can’t fit into Lane Bryant clothes because although I’m fat I’m not completely huge. Also I’m only 5″1 so everything there is way too long and all the shoulders are too big and the backside sags cause I don’t have a big behind. She ended up recommending an awesome store with a million clothes I LOVED so I charged like 200$ on my credit card and bought myself about 5 shirts, 5 pairs of panties, 3 pairs of shorts and a bathing suit and a bra. I did buy most on clearance, and honestly these were the best buy. Usually I buy my clothes at the junior plus sizes in Debs and although they’re cheap they don’t last long at all. These clothes are well made and will last a long time. And cute too!!!

Gold

I have a LOT of gold jewelry. Probably thousands worth. My mother loves it so ever since I was a kid she would buy me rings or necklaces or bracelets for birthdays and Christmas. Mostly sapphire since it’s my birthstone, but I have a lot of diamonds too. I also have a lot of gold I bought myself over the years. Now that I’m broke and have to pay off my credit cards I’m wondering if I should just sell it all to one of those places that melt it down into bullion. A lot of them pay pretty well for the gold and silver if it’s good quality. And I know mine is.

I don’t think I could ever bring myself to sell the things my Mother bought me purely because I’m extremely sentimental. But I have no problem selling the jewelry I bought myself!
